Seed Orchards

Establishment of seed Production Areas : Survey of forest areas in H.P. and J&K including that of existing Seed Stands was carried out and Seed production Areas of Chir Pine established.

Establishment of Seed Orchards: Survey of forest areas in H.P. and J&K carried out to select CPI's of Chir Pine and seed collected from these was utilised for establishment of Seedling Seed Orchard. Clonal material from identified CPT's of shisham from the states of' U. P., H..P., J&K and Punjab were collected for establishment of clonal seed orchard and multiplication garden
