             Ecology & Biodiversity Conservation Division

 Project Title :  Studies on Plant Diversity of Renuka and Simbalwara Wildlife Sanctuaries of Himachal Pradesh.

 Principle Investigator : Dr. R.K. Verma

 Duration : 2003-2006

 Objectives:

  • To ascertain the extent of species richness through communities identification and their structure.
  • To study the regeneration status of major tree species.
  • To demarcate plant diversity rich areas and their status in the sanctuary.
  •  To identify species of ethno-botanical importance.
  •  To identify species of rare, endangered, threatened or abundant in the sanctuary. To study the soil chemical property of the sanctuary.                                                                        Back
