 Project Title :  Comparative Studies on the Floristic Composition of Two Diversely Located Alpine Pastures.

 Principle Investigator : Dr. K.S. Kapoor

 Duration : 2003-2007

 Objectives:

  • To study site characteristics of two diversely located alpine pastures.
  • To carry out comparative ecological studies along with floristics and phyto-sociological attributes in the identified pastures.
  • Documentation of flora.
  • To investigate the distribution of rare and endemic plants.
  • To understand the intensity and impact of overgrazing including other biotic interferences for devising suitable strategies for the management of alpine pastures.                                                                        Back
